On the Way to the Top of Chamber Music

Highest Regions

The fact that French-Dutch violinist Cosima Soulez Larivière won first prize in the first edition of the Bartók World Competition in Budapest last fall is enough proof of the absolute top talent we present in this season’s New Masters Series. Besides violinist Cosima Soulema Larivière, we present French pianist Ingmar Lazar who is also on the fast track to the top in chamber music. They will each play a varied program with works by Bach, Szymanowski, Ysaÿe, Ravel and Liszt.

Culture and Traditions

The concert takes you on a wonderful journey through different cultures. After winning the Bartók World Competition Cosima Soulez Larivière said: ‘The most important task for a musician is to tune into the soul and spirit of a composer and the culture and traditions of his/her country of origin.’ Likewise Ingmar Lazar will dive into the cultural differences between Liszt and Ravel.
